Located in the south zone of the city, Moema has the highest HDI in São Paulo. It offers great quality of life to its residents, mainly due to the convenience of having schools, parks, grocery stores and restaurants within the neighborhood. Avenida Ibirapuera, which concentrates the business offices in Moema, divides the neighborhood into streets with indigenous and bird names.
The close neighborhoods to Moema are Brooklin, Campo Belo, Planalto Paulista, Vila Clementino, Vila Nova Conceição and Vila Olímpia. For those traveling and that don’t have much time to get lost in traffic, the neighborhood is close to Congonhas Airport. For those who like shopping, there is Shopping Ibirapuera mall, which has more than four hundred stores of national and international brands.
Another great gem in the neighborhood is its proximity to Ibirapuera Park. For those who live close to Avenida República do Líbano, the park is about ten minutes walk. In addition to bicycle and walking trails, the park offers several attractions, such as restaurants and museums.
As a way of keeping the neighborhood a safer and more organized environment, residents of Moema created the Association of Residents and Friends of Moema.
